FAQ

What is PMU?

Permanent Make Up - Semi Permanent Cosmetics is also referred to as PMU

What is the Microblading/PMU healing process ?

Healing takes about 7-1 0 days, as everyone heals differently. The pigment colour will darken over the healing period. Its best not to get the brows wet for minimum 2 days. Day 5-10 you will notice the pigment has formed a minor scab, and will begin to flake off. Let the scabbing fall off naturally. After they are completely healed you may need to keep hydrated for another 1-2 weeks as the pigment will resurface.  An ointment will be provided for the best healing results.

No tanning, waxing, plucking, swimming, or sweating during the healing process.

How long does it last?

There are many different factors that play a role in the longevity of PMU. On average about

1-3 years, depending on each individual and their skin tone, type and lifestyle.

Does it hurt?

I use 2 topical numbing creams to keep you as comfortable as possible; one we can apply during the process when it may become sensitive. Each individual is different, some clients feel nothing, and some clients have felt what is commonly described as "scratching"

Microblading/PMU during pregnancy?

Microblading is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How long is the appointment and what should I expect?

Appointments on average are about 2-3 hours. I begin by mapping the brow outline using tools to create symmetry between both eyebrows. I choose the correct blade/needle size based on the style of brow, hair thickness and desired outcome. We then choose a pigment colour best matched to your natural hair colour and skin tone. A numbing solution is used before and during the procedure to ensure you're comfortable. Thats it, brows are created. I send you home with a healing cream/oil.

Is Microblading/PMU right for me?

Microblading has helped many women along different paths, with different skin types. Helping those with alopecia, cancer survivors, sparse grown hair, the over pluckers, over waxers, and anyone sick of using an eyebrow pencil. Oily skin types may be better suited for the electric PMU instead of manual microblading.
